Radiation Oncology

NHO Radiation OncologyNHO Radiation Oncology has board-certified radiation oncologists who lead a highly-trained staff. We have a board-certified medical physicist and a certified medical dosimetrist who both work closely with our physicians to ensure optimal treatment planning and delivery. Our therapists are certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists in Radiation Therapy.

Most types of cancer respond to radiotherapy, including cancers of the prostate, breast, cervix, vocal cords, tonsil, mouth, thyroid, rectum, and skin. Radiation treatments can also be used for palliative purposes, such as decreasing the size of a tumor, reducing pain, and improving the quality of life for patients with tumors that are considered incurable.
